Tessellations on a cliff
All the clouds were thick
Flying into Keflavik
They got thinner
Up at Glymur

Couldn’t help but toss a rock
Into that great abyss
A pill-less moment of golden bliss
Life can often be a gift
But in an instant
It was distant
I felt kind of sick
The days we spent in Reykjavik
Never-ending sun
Like the Earth no longer spun
A harbor town just like Duluth
Scrimshaw on a whale’s tooth
But then that week did end
As I was forced to comprehend
That we’re still spinning
Fighting, clinging
In another week I’ll carry on
Maybe a month just to find out what went wrong
Shouldn’t take longer than a year
To find a way that I can live beyond the fear
Of moving forward
Onward, upward
Over and over again
